Lauraine Jacobs writes the food column each week in the NZ Listener and is a former food editor of Cuisine magazine. Her recently released latest book, Everlasting Feast, a culinary memoir is a celebration of her culinary adventures in 26 stories. It reads like a short history of food in New Zealand and is supplemented by 100 of her beautiful, but simple recipes.A past president of both the International Assn of Culinary Professionals and the local NZ Guild of Food Writers, she is a well travelled award-winning food writer with a passion for promoting artisans, farmers and the fresh natural food we enjoy throughout New Zealand. Her philosophy is to cook simple food with flair and style, letting the freshest of ingredients speak for themselves on the plate.
