Elizabeth David Becomes First Cooking Writing To Receive A Blue Plaque

Elizabeth David is to become the first cook to receive blue plaque, with judges hailing her for convincing Britons that "olive oil was good for more than curing ear aches".
The commemorative English Heritage plaque will be unveiled on Wednesday at the house in Halsey Street, Chelsea where she lived for 45 years, until her death.
