This is such a beautiful book that it would sit just as comfortably in the art book section of my library as with the cookbooks.
It is a follow-up to Me'a Kai which won a major international prize and which featured food from six Pacific nations. This new title focuses on Samoa, a place where NZ-born author/chef Robert Oliver clearly feels totally at home.
Mea'ai Samoa shows the traditional cuisine of Samoa and looks at the provenance of the ingredients through organic farmers and their land. Stories, portraits and the fabulous scenery combine to make another vibrant and colourful book filled with delicious food and show off the heritage of a beautiful island nation.
