A very special "Book & Cook" Culinary Workshop with Sally Holland, author of Goodbye Gluten
Tuesday 8 March, 7pm
We are most excited to be hosting an evening with Sally Holland, author of Goodbye Gluten, in our kitchen on Tuesday 8 March.
Sally is a self-confessed 'foodie' who launched her career in the food industry working in the New Zealand Woman's Weekly Test Kitchen, under the magazine's iconic food editor Tui Flower. 30 years later, having raised her family and retained her passion for cooking, Sally had to radically adapt her culinary skills when her husband was diagnosed with coeliac disease. Taking up the challenge, she drew on her home science background to create a range of delicious gluten-free dishes that they could share with friends & family. The secret to Sally's success is her own gluten free flour mix made from easily sourced, inexpensive ingredients, that works perfectly with all 90 recipes in the book.
As with all our Book & Cook Culinary Workshops a copy of this beautiful 240-page, hardback cookbook is included in the ticket price (rrp of the book $55). On the night Sally will share the secrets of successful gluten free cooking and create a selection of her favourite savoury & sweet recipes from the book. A generous tasting portion of each dish will be served.
It is often said that food brings people together but, in the case of coeliac disease & gluten intolerance, it can set people apart. Goodbye Gluten aims to bridge the gap with tasty, regular food that can be enjoyed by everybody.
We'd love you to join us! Bookings essential & tickets are strictly limited.
