Simple
Wholefood Recipes
Eleanor Ozich - Hardback -Murdoch Books - $45.00
Wholefood
guru, cook, writer and columnist ELEANOR OZICH
believes that food doesn’t have to complicated, difficult or
expensive. It’s all about cooking with simple and seasonal ingredients, to
lovingly create something both wonderfully delicious and nourishing.
Her first book,
My Petite Kitchen Cookbook, reflects
the very essence of her food and style. It has more than 100 gluten-free,
wholefood recipes that will nurture your body and soul, and inspire you as we
move into autumn. From Sweet Potato, Carrot & Cashew Soup, Apple and Sage
Pork Cassoulet and Slow-Cooked Zucchini with Basil and Lemon, to Decadent
Raspberry and Coconut Chocolate Torte, and Lemon and Coconut Truffles, Eleanor
has everything covered for breakfasts, lunches, drinks, dinners, desserts and
everything in between. And she doesn’t forget vegetarian and vegan options.
The recipes
are complemented by Eleanor’s own photography, beautifully capturing her food –
fresh, vibrant, and for sharing. Eleanor’s intense love for wholesome food
truly shines in the dishes that she creates, and her followers around the world
agree!
This is a real stunner of a cookbook about which I will have more to say shortly and I am not at all surprised to learn that the first printing is sold out and an urgent reprint is underway.

About the author
As a child,
Eleanor Ozich lived above her parents’ restaurant in Auckland and she has been
a passionate food lover ever since. She is a self-taught cook who has worked as
a food writer and food stylist for various publications, including Taste magazine, Viva - The New Zealand Herald and Little Treasures magazine. Eleanor Ozich has created the recipes
in this book as part of her family’s ‘road to simple eating’, adopted as a
means of trying (successfully) to cure her 4-year-old daughter’s eczema.
She now has a huge online following on Facebook and Instagram and a very popular blog http://www.petite-kitchen.com, the followers of which continue to be moved by her approach to creating mindful and joyous dishes.
