Poh Ling Yeow was born in Malaysia in 1973, spending the
first nine years of her life in Kuala Lumpur. Her family then migrated to South
Australia where she now lives and works.
After completing a Bachelor of Design
at the University of South Australia, Yeow freelanced as a graphic designer and
illustrator. She has been painting full-time since the beginning of 2002.
Poh
Ling Yeow's food career began in the first season of MasterChef Australia,
2009, after coming runner up in the finale, she was offered her own cooking
show Poh's Kitchen, on ABC1. She followed this up with Poh's Kitchen on the
Road and Poh's Kitchen Lends a Hand.
She continues to paint and also runs a food cart at her local farmers' market.
The Bookman is an enormous fan and I am so thrilled to have this marvellous book ! Once I have tried a few recipes I will post further.
