Kitchen Therapist by Jo Richardson

Now that cooking and a love of food cooked well is ‘all the rage’ again it seems that many of the tried and true, gospel techniques have vanished. These little tips and tricks that were once handed down from mother to children or family to family are now ‘secrets’. This book is especially valuable for an old boy like me who has come to cooking late! In fact the book is a godsend.

Our televisions are filled with wonderful, inspirational often gourmet standard recipes, but the day-to-day basics—well, it is presumed everyone knows them. Jo Richardson helps us to get back to basics with tried and true recipes, tips and tricks in the kitchen, and ‘what went wrong’ suggestions for every recipe to help us to improve the next time we cook! I especially like this ‘what went wrong’ feature.
