Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to NZ Wines 2014 - don't leave home without it.............

Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to NZ Wines 2014

Michael Cooper - Hodder Moa - $39.99

The best-selling Buyer's Guide is now in its 22nd year of publication. And every year it is thicker than the year before!
This title is firmly established as the most authoritative and sought-after guide to New Zealand wines. Updated yearly with new tasting notes and vintage ratings, including the most current vintage, this is a 'must-have' publication for the new initiate, the established wine-buff and everyone in between.

Last year's copy now comes out of my car (never leave home without it) and takes it place on my bookshelf with the earlier editions while the new edition goes into the glove box as my indispensable guide when buying wine. It helps me to make informed choices about the best value and best quality wines available.
Divided by grape variety to help selection, this comprehensive, easy-to-use guide includes vintage ratings, star ratings for quality, dryness/sweetness guide, retail price and value-for-money ratings.
Other features include Classic Wines - wines that consistently achieve an outstanding level of quality for at least three vintages - as well as sections on 'Best Buys of the Year' and a vintage report.

About the Author

Michael Cooper is New Zealand's most acclaimed wine writer with 37 books and hundreds of magazine articles to his credit. His prestigious Wine Atlas of New Zealand, the first published in 2002 to critical acclaim, won the Montana Medal for Non-fiction in the 2003 Montana New Zealand Book Awards.

Footnote:
I suspect that Michael Cooper's Buyer’s Guide to New Zealand Wines 2014 is the last New Zealand book to be published by Hachette New Zealand.
The end of an era. But I have no doubt that this hugely valuable annual will find a new publishing home !
