We're popping the bubbly here at Shared Kitchen ...

We're popping the bubbly here at Shared Kitchen ...
not just because the end of year is nigh and a holiday is in sight, but because, Ta-Da, drum roll … Shared Kitchen has been named the Best Food Website In New Zealand by the organisers of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Yippee! Exciting. Yep, it is VERY exciting for us!
Shared Kitchen has been put together by a small group of Kiwis – Aaron McLean, Charlie McKay, Elspeth Dick – and Ilaria and me, and we are really thrilled! We’ll be off to Yantai in China before you know it to compete for the world title. Read all about it here
There’s heaps of stuff in this week’s newsletter. Do you like the look of pomegranates but don’t know what to do with them? Read all about them Pomegranates
There are a couple of great recipes, of course, crusty lamb racks and a pear and pecorino salad, and news about New Zealand’s lucky winner off to Trinidad & Tobago to try his hand at winning the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge. There are new dates for cooking classes with me at Rangihoua Estate on Waiheke. And, if you are scratching your head about how to treat your staff, or yourselves, for an end of year event, look no further. The sumptuous long lunch to be held at Waiheke’s exclusive Delamore Lodge in December could be the answer to your prayers. It’s going to be stunning.
