Chocolate Chunk Pantry Cookies

10 September

Last weekend the Dish team was treated to beautiful weather while in Wellington for the Food Show - it really felt like spring! We're still after a bit of comfort food though; below you'll find Claire Aldous' Chocolate Chunk Pantry Cookies, hearty Italian meatballs as well as a lush green salad.
David Parker braved the weekend's changeable weather to smoke quail on a campfire in his latest cookbook review. A read of his story (below) and a dash of sun might just inspire you to head outdoors yourself. Perhaps with a cup of tea instead of an armful of firewood, though.

RECIPE

Chocolate Chunk Pantry Cookies

This is my easy, go-to cookie recipe as I usually have all the ingredients in the pantry. You can ring the changes by using chopped nuts, dried apricots, white chocolate, raisins and other spices to flavour the dough.
