What's for Lunch? Cook the Books has the answer

What's for Lunch?

Fruit, a homemade muffin, energy bites & a love note are the keys to a great lunchbox.......

This is the type of book we have been asked for over & over. A book of healthy lunchbox ideas, with recipes, that while targeted at children are suitable for the whole family. It is designed to inspire you to get into the kitchen and make things from scratch, to show you how easy it is to create healthy food for your lunchboxes, and how good it feels to send everyone off for the day with nutritious food. It will encourage you to break away from pre-prepared food packed with additives, preservatives and refined sugar.

Aside from being one of our lovely local customers, author Wick Nixon is the founder of Wicked Wellbeing, an online community devoted to educating and inspiring healthier lifestyle choices for families. She knows how important it is to teach children healthy eating habits, and how important it is to "feed the brain". As a mum of 3, she noticed that from time to time we all get stuck in a rut with lunchbox ideas, hence the 21 day Marvellous Lunchbox Makeover.

With 31 simple, easy to follow recipes, including sections on Breakfast Recipes & Kids Dinners that the whole family will enjoy, this book is a gem. Available in-store for $22.95 or add $3 for delivery within NZ 21 Day Marvellous Lunchbox Makeover
Over the past week we've really enjoyed trying recipes from the 21 Day Marvellous Lunchbox Makeover (and we aren't really the "target audience"). Two of our favourites are the recipes below - Bliss Balls & the Coconut Flour Blueberry Muffins.

Just in case you missed it, we have moved to a big new store at 19 Williamson Ave, Ponsonby
